1.If you were famous what would your stage name be?
When my son was at St. Jude children's Research Center and we were told that he no longer had cancer, I stated that I was so excited that he was in remission. The oncologist stated “we never say remission - we say cancer free! Remission implies that the cancer will come back, cancer free means forever†I now say that my son is cancer free.
2.If you would attend a celebrity wedding which, would it be?
Waking up every single morning knowing that my family and I are healthy, together and doing well. Knowing that are lives have been blessed. Our family has been through a lot and we have been made stronger because of it. Through my life experience, I am able to pay if forward.
3.What is the weirdest gift you’ve ever received?
That healthy foods can taste good. We can re teach our taste buds that we don't need all the sugars and carbs to have food taste good. That eating healthy can be fun. Being a family nurse practitioner, I teach my patients that eating healthy will decrease their cholesterol, lower their blood sugars, reduce their risk for a cardiac event and have more energy when they eat properly. I love my job and taking care of my patients.
4.What is the most random fact you know?
I may be 52 years old, but I feel 25. I love where I am at in life. Age is just a number. I love the fact that I can keep up with my 22-year-old daughter.
5.What is the one thing you’ll never do again?
My idea of a fun date is going out on the boat and just relaxing. The joy of living in Florida is that almost anywhere you go, you are surrounded by water. We love to go fishing, going into the waterway to look at all the mansions and stopping at a restaurant for lunch. It just refreshes our souls to breath in the salt water air.
